Okay, they're gone You can come out now everyone Put on some tunes Let's sing songs like we used to do This is the after party After the party from Hell So grab a drink, head into the garden And dance till the sky turns red In the country and in the town Everything's turning around Can't you feel it? It's bubbling out of the ground There's nothing can stop us now Okay, they've gone You can relax now everyone Get in the conga line It's time for comrades to unite This is the after party After the party from Hell So grab a drink, head into the garden And dance till the sky turns red In the country and in the town Everything's turning around Can't you feel it? It's bubbling out of the ground There's nothing can stop us now

They're the bee's knees honey See how they dress They don't have to try too hard To try to impress While we wear a look That basically says We're yesterday's model Long past our best But now love's coming back in fashion A look so neat Love's coming back in fashion A look that can't be beat Like beatniks, baby They're hard to guess With poetry and paintings and sunglasses While we trip over words and we lose our thread But with you as my mirror I see me at my best So we wear our hearts on our sleeve A model romance for all to see Love's coming back in fashion A look so neat Love's coming back in fashion A look that can't be beat Love's coming back in fashion We're suited to a tee Love's coming back in fashion The look of love's so chic

Gregory knows all the words And he sings along He just loves it, loves it It’s all fake, lies to you face And we're supposed just to buy it, buy it Gregory has thoughts to spare We’re meant to care But the meaning's just skewed What's the source? Where’s the truth? A bygone age when we fact checked our attitudes Oh yeah, these are strange times It’s the same old line With nothing behind it Oh yeah, now mendacity rules Being vapid is cool But we just can’t change it Gregory wants to get your love Cares for your job And he means it, means it Cashing in, as it's crashing Shut your gob It’s what we wanted, wanted Gregory wants to be your friend Says he'll make amends His expression portraying His decency and sincerity But behind the smiles His ideals are sickening Oh yeah, these are strange times It’s the same old line With nothing behind it Oh yeah, now mendacity rules Being vapid is cool But we just can’t change it Oh yeah, these are strange times It’s the same old line With nothing behind it Yeah, yeah, now mendacity rules Don't follow the fool And we just might change things

about

Everything's turning around, can't you feel it?!

The Hannah Barberas are BACK with three sprightly new songs, recorded in the brief window between lockdown 2 and 3.

Released on limited edition 7" vinyl, 'Party from Hell' delivers the trademark male/female harmonies and jangling guitars, atop the band's most danceable groove yet.

The south east London foursome have brought out the bells and whistles (literally) for this, their first 45.

So grab a drink, head into the garden, and dance till the sky turns red!

"Skittering like they’re playing in the front room for the sheer buzz of it, The Hannah Barberas create Party from Hell with joyous aplomb. This is domestic, melodic, effortless indie, unpretentious and true.”
Ian McCann - Record Collector
